It's Spring!
What a day! A good day that is. A good busy day. But I believe a busy day is good. So I'm taking a ballroom dancing class. It is actually pretty interesting, but do I like it? I'm not so sure. I think that the better I get at it the more I will like it. I've only been taking the class for a few weeks and we only meet once a week so it's not like I'm spending a lot of time on it. But tonight I actually had a partner that was a guy! Yes, I have been dancing with girls this whole time, I guess that's because this class isn't so popular with the males. We had our midterm, which was basically a competition in the class. My partner and I got first in the Waltz and second in the triple step! Oh wait, I must tell you all the dances we are learning. Of course the Waltz because that is the most popular ballroom dance there is and by far the easiest. We are also learning the triple step (I think that's what it's called), the merangae (sp?), cha cha, charleston, a little bit of fast paced swing, and we even did some salsa tonight!
So since I'm pretty good at the Waltz, I'm going to have to say that is my favorite. Maybe if I get a partner we can go waltzing sometime. I also liked the salsa but we didn't really get too much into it. Does anyone like to ballroom dance?
Anyway, that's probably the highlight of my day. That and I came home to find my neighbors mowing my lawn. Is that a sign or is that just a kind neighbor? LOL
But I gave the little neighbor boy $20 because his dad forced him to do it. I thought that might make it worth his while. It sure is nice to have a nicely mowed lawn.
Well I did say that I was going to make this blog about beauty and fashion and I don't think that ballroom dancing and lawn mowing fits that category. But I did find this link interesting posted from Elle Magazine:

It's an article that explains how to do the "smoky eye" look in the spring uses pastel colors instead of blacks and greys. I LOVE the smoky eye look, so I will definitely be rockin' the pastel smoky eye look this spring.
Oh and must not forget, those of you who watch E! News, I saw that one of the reporters, Ashlan, was sporting Stella and Dot! Woooo, I LOVE to see Stella and Dot all over the TV and everywhere I go. LOVE IT! Ashlan was wearing the Natasha Embroidered Bib Necklace and it looked GORGEOUS on her! You can get that same look, just ask me how!
)
Well goodnight all!

Good Morning! Wow, I'm so excited about my first post! I'm new to this whole blogging idea but I have been having so much fun with it so far. I didn't realize how many people actually did this!
Anyway, not so sure where to start? I guess I will start my telling you a little about myself. I attend Wichita State University and will graduate with a degree in marketing in May 2010 and am so freaking pumped about it! I have spent so much of my life in school and now I won't ever have to go to school again? I wonder what life will be like without school LOL.
I currently hold a job in the real estate business as a sales assistant in a new home development. I love my job, but as you all know the market has been down, so it's kinda been a challenge lately. Seems to be picking up this Spring but who knows how long that is going to last....hopefully a while!
I have now started a newer challenge in my life, which I am very, very, very excited about! I am a new Stella and Dot Independent Stylist. I chose to do this because I have always been an independent person and this gives me the chance to finally do something for myself that I can be in complete control over. I guess it gives me some self satisfaction? If you've never heard of Stella and Dot, it is a fabulous company with cute, cute, cute jewelry. I fell in love with it at first sight! It is a home based business created by women made for women. The two women who developed this company named it after their grandmothers who worked very hard for themselves after they came to the United States from overseas.
Since I am into jewelry, fashion, and fun I think I'm going to make this blog all about that! I will try to post articles and links I think women will find fun to read and helpful in their everyday lives. Does anyone have any other ideas?
